in a world of one color
the sound of wind.
Matsuo Basho
Our color has been white and cold, here on the high plains. Today there was a break and we will begin to climb toward warmer degrees. We have hunkered in and walked over wonderful tracks of a fox running by our living room window (and please know we live in a large city). The presence of the fox keeps us honest.
Some white views within our warm house.

Freezing here in NYC tonight, too. Bundled up in a cozy sweater happy to be indoors.
aww, very pretty, I cant wait to come home and see all of this beauty!
This is definite bundle up and do something warm time. Read a book, bake cookies. Keep warm in NYC.
I love that picture. Did you make the wire trees? If so, how did you do them? I am trying to make a "cradle" out of baling wire for a small book, and my fastening-this-to-that skills stop at wheat paste.
I didn't make those trees but I have made plenty of wire stuff with kids. I highly recommend wire at the hardware, we used to call it piano wire. You can get in a natural black, copper and silver. The gauges 20, 22, 24 etc. are easiest to manipulate.
